2020 World Young Scientists Summit-Digital Economy, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Conference was successfully held
On the afternoon of October 17, the "2020 World Young Scientist Summit-Digital Economy, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Conference" was held by the College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence in the lecture hall of the Information Building, North Campus of Wenzhou University.
There are two venues in total, one at Wenzhou University and one at Ruian Sino-German Science and Technology Innovation Park. Focusing on the theme of "Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, Fueling the Development of the Digital Economy", activities such as agreement signing, academic reports, project signings, and technology exhibitions were carried out. The conference invited many experts, scholars, and representatives of well-known enterprises, universities and industry associations, including academicians such as Fang Jiancheng, Liu Daxiang, Qi Faren, etc. There were 8 keynote reports about the latest research results in the fields of intelligent equipment manufacturing technology (intelligence) transformation, artificial intelligence, big data, virtual reality in the digital economy, focusing on technological innovation, industry applications, and development prospects.
Professor Zhang Xiaoqin, Dean of the College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence of Wenzhou University, chaired the conference, and Zhao Min, President of Wenzhou University, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.
Chen Chouyong, Director of Zhejiang Information Development Research Institute, delivered a report on "Digital Economy Leading High-quality Development", analyzing the leading role of digital economy in high-quality development, and emphasizing that digital economy has become the main engine for promoting high-quality development in Zhejiang. Professor Chen Shengyong, who received the grant from the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, made a report on "Three-dimensional Vision Methods and Principles of Structured Light". Professor Min Weidong from Nanchang University and Dean of the School of Software, made a report on "Opportunities and Challenges Facing Artificial Intelligence in the Era of Big Data". Professor Liang Ronghua, Dean of the School of Computer Science, Zhejiang University of Technology, delivered a speech rntitiled "Research on 3D Fingerprint Recognition and Anti-counterfeiting Technology Based on Dermal Layer". Li Xi, the professor and doctoral supervisor of Zhejiang University, and director of Zhejiang University-Daily Interactive Data Intelligence R&D Center, made a keynote report on "Artificial Intelligence Structure Learning and Its Visual Applications".
The conference also witnessed the unveiling, licensing and signing of several platforms, for example, Wenzhou Cyberspace Security Talent Training Base, Southern Zhejiang (Wenzhou) Digital Economy University-Industry Alliance, and Wenzhou Digital Economy Research Institute
This is the second time that the College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence of Wenzhou University has hosted the sub-forum of World Young Scientist Summit. The College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence has developed rapidly in recent years. In 2017, the first-level discipline of computer science and technology were ranked Top 50% among 238 universities and ranked 93 in China by Academic Ranking of World Universities.
