Professor Chen Heng was invited to deliver an academic report at the 2020 World Young Scientists Summit-Big-data Assisted Health Forum

On the morning of October 19th, the 2020 World Young Scientist Summit-Big-data Assisted Health Forum was held in the lecture hall on the first floor of Wenzhou Nanhu International Academic Exchange Center. Several national outstanding youths, Yangtze River scholars, etc. shared their research on biological drugs, metabolic regulation, regenerative medicine, new targets for disease treatment, drug design, biopharmaceutical molecular improvement and delivery.

Professor Chen Heng deliveredan academic report titled “Application of Linked Data and HIV Protein Ontology in Information Integration and Knowledge Navigation of HIV Literature Database”. With computers, big data and artificial intelligence technology, his team applied data association and viral protein ontology to the practice of data mining and information integration in the HIV knowledge database, and successfully realized the precise mining and knowledge navigation of HIV proteins in the literature database, thus identifying a feasible method for computer, big data and artificial intelligence technology to empower biomedical research and development.

Professor Chen Heng is a professor at the College of Computer and Artificial Intelligence of Wenzhou University. He was once selected as a scholar of Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program (2009) and a distinguished professor of Tongjiang Scholars Program in Quanzhou, Fujian (2018). He is mainly engaged in the innovative research and development of biomedical information database, information integration and retrieval, big data analysis, data mining and knowledge extraction, knowledge organization and information management. He has undertaken projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Hundred Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc. and achieved fruitful results. He has published more than 40 research papers, 3 national invention patents and 4 software copyright registrations. He is currently an editorial board member of four international journals including Biomedical Statistics and Informatics.
