The discipline of chemistry entered Top 100 of Natural Index in chemistry for the first time among domestic universities

According to Nature Index 2020 Annual Tables, the discipline of chemistry of WZU entered Top 100 for the first time among domestic universities

The Nature Index is a scientific research evaluation index launched by Nature in 2014. It is mainly based on the statistics of the number of research papers published by various institutions in 82 top academic journals in the previous year. The index has become an important indicator of the institute's ability to produce international high-level academic results.

The score of chemistry of WZU reached 11.25 in this statistical cycle, making it into the top 100 among domestic universities for the first time. As a key discipline of Wenzhou University, chemistry has achieved remarkable results in the basic and applied research fields of physical chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic and analytical chemistry, polymer chemistry and physics. In recent years, it is rated as the provincial key and first-class discipline (category A). Its global ESI ranking has been ranked top 1% for 7 consecutive years, with the continuous improvement in academic strength and reputation.
