Three Engineering Research Centers of the University Win Provincial Excellence Award, Ranking Second in Key Provincial Universities
Recently the Provincial Development and Reform Commission announced the evaluation results of the construction and operation of provincial engineering research center. Four candidates from the university participated in the evaluation event and three of them won excellence award, ranking second among all key provincial universities in the entire province! This evaluation mainly focuses on the construction and operation, scientific and research activities, innovation outcome, economic and social benefits of engineering research centers in 2018-2020 which was approved between 2009 and 2018. It is reported that excellence award winning engineering research centers may be preferentially recommended to apply to upgrade to national level engineering research centers, national and local joint engineering research centers.

In recent years, we have been upholding the strategy of “strengthening the university through science and technology research”, deeply implementing “locally-based first-class” projects, proposing joint progress of fundamental research and applied research, promoting co-development of natural science and engineering technology research, and strengthening the construction and management of science research platforms. Currently we have two national and local joint engineering research centers, one national level global technology cooperation base, and 28 provincial key labs and other provincial and ministerial research and technology research platforms, forming a science research system with distinctive levels and complete categories, for which reasons we are selected as a national intellectual property pilot university.
