The best results achieved among colleges and universities of Zhejiang Province! Our students made great achievements in the 16th China Graduate Electronic Design Competition
Recently, the curtain of 16th National final of “Zhaoyi Innovation Cup” China Graduate Electronic Design Competition has fallen. Three teams of our school won two first prizes and one second prize, which is the best result among colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province.
Officially launched in March this year, the 16th China Graduate Electronic Design Competition has reached a record high scale with a total of 5,120 teams from universities and research institutes of graduate education across the country successfully applying for the competition. After nearly a month of preliminary evaluation and selection in eight divisions, 427 teams from more than 150 participating units stood out and advanced to the national finals.
After expert review, the project “Development of Four-quadrant Trigger Characteristic Parameter Testing Device for Low-Power Thyristor”, guided by Professor Wei Wensheng from the College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, won the first prize in the technical competition category (only our school and Zhejiang University won the first prize within Zhejiang Province); the project “Light Chaser: China’s First Multicolored Laser Light Source” co-directed by Associate Professor Duan Yanmin of the College of Mathematics and Physics and Professor Zhu Haiyong of the College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering won the first prize of business plan competition (in Zhejiang Province, only our University and Zhejiang University won the first prize respectively); the project “Digital Energy Router Based on Si IGBT and SiC MOSFET Hybrid Device” directed by Professor Dai Yuxing of the College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering won the second prize of the business plan competition.
It is reported that the China Graduate Electronic Design Competition is one of the “China Postgraduate Innovation & Practice Series Competitions” themed competitions guided by the Department of Academic Degrees Management and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and the China Academic Degree & Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC). It is a group electronic design innovation and creativity practice activity for postgraduates across the country as well as a top electronic design competition activity participated in by national universities and scientific research institutes. Initiated by Tsinghua University in 1996, the event is held once a year, and consists of two parts: technical competition and business plan special competition. It is divided into two levels of evaluation; the preliminary evaluation of regional competition and the national final evaluation. The national final is jointly held by the Chinese Institute of Electronics, Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education, China Association for Youth Science and Technology Center, and organized by the People’s Government of Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. Our students have participated in this event since last year.
