WZUer Winning Awards in China University Computer Competition
The 7th China University Computer Competition - Group Programming Ladder Competition Finals were held online and offline. WZU hosted one of offline competition sites in the Southern Zhejiang Province. Three teams, with Chen Weibin and Hu Mingxiao from the College of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence as coaches, participated in the competition. WZU Team One won the third prize of the national level and the third prize of the provincial level, and WZU Team Two won the third prize of the provincial level.
This grand competition was founded by the Higher Education Computer Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education and other institutions. It plays an important role in improving students’ programming ability. With the increasing influence, it entered the List of National University Student Competitions in 2019. The competition this year attracted 1,443 teams comprising 14,430 students from 430 colleges and universities in 30 provincial-level administrative regions across the country. The College of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence is responsible for the team selection, training and competition organization for the Southern Zhejiang Province.
The event aims to improve the students’ programming skills and the ability of using computers to analyze and solve problems. It also plays an important role in enhancing their teamwork spirit and comprehensive quality, enriching the academic atmosphere in the campus, and promoting exchanges and cooperation among universities and colleges.
