Intro to the speaker:
Tao He, the researcher at Shanghai Institute for Advanced Study, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and associate editor of Desalination. In 2007, he returned from the Netherlands to work as a distinguished professor at Nanjing University of Technology. In 2010, he established the Membrane Materials and Separation Engineering Technology Laboratory at the Shanghai Institute of Advanced Studies, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
In recent years, he has undertaken a number of projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Science and Technology. He has published more than 60 academic papers and monograph chapters, and holds more than 20 invention patents in China, Europe and PCT.
His team is currently working on the following projects: forward osmosis membrane technology for industrial and municipal wastewater reuse, high-stability hydrophobic membrane distillation materials and applications, separation and purification technology of valuable metal ions in complex mixed systems, including membrane extraction and tower equipment and other core equipment, research on green separation membrane materials and solvent systems, permanent hydrophilic porous organic membrane materials.
