WZU’s Delegation Visits Hochschule für Medien Kommunikation und Wirtschaft in Berlin
To further promote Sino-German high-level cooperation in higher education and expand cooperation between WZU and German universities, Zhang Jian, Secretary of the CPC Committee of WZU, led a delegation to visit Hochschule für Medien Kommunikation und Wirtschaft (HMKW) in Berlin, Germany, on August 29, accompanied by Xia Chunyu, Director of the Development and Planning Office, Huang Wenhao, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Bao Hanli, Dean of the Overseas Chinese College, and Wu Mingge, Head of the Experimental Center of the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof. Klaus-Dieter Schulz, Rector of HMKW, Anka Cyborra, Legal and Financial Officer of HMKW, and Ms. Feng Aimin who is responsible for the student exchange programs with Chinese universities.
Prof. Prof. Klaus-Dieter Schulz gave a speech and introduced the current development of the university. He told that HMKW, which was founded in 2009 and has three campuses in Berlin, Frankfurt and Cologne, is a university of applied sciences that integrates teaching and scientific research and focuses on training implementation and management personnel of marketing and communication strategies.
Secretary Zhang Jian gave a detailed introduction to the development of WZU. He pointed out that WZU places great importance on student cultivation and the transformation of scientific research achievements, and the two sides can explore more scientifically designed joint training programs to deepen international cooperation in talent cultivation.
The two sides signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation, and had in-depth discussions on the feasibility of a joint training program for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in digital marketing. Rector Prof. Klaus-Dieter Schulz accepted the invitation from WZU’s delegation and expressed his commitment to advancing the joint training of masters and facilitating academic exchanges between Chinese and German teachers and students.
